About me
I'm a speaker, author, and consultant specializing in digital education and learning. With 30 years' experience – including roles at Ernst Klett Verlag, The Learning Company, and KidZ Vision – I've been working freelance since 2001. I speak at schools and conferences in Germany and abroad, lead workshops for students and teachers, develop English learning materials and host a podcast about 21st century skills. I also advise on digital content for children.
My current focus is on future skills – helping students develop the abilities they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world. I believe learning should be engaging, relevant, and curiosity-driven, and I'm always exploring innovative ways to make this happen.
WHAT I BELIEVE IN
INTEGRITY – we value those we can trust
QUALITY – only the best is good enough
CURIOSITY – it drives our best work
CREATIVITY – customised solutions are key
INDIVIDUALITY – each interaction is unique
AND ON A PERSONAL NOTE
I live in Munich with my husband and daughter, spend most of my free time playing the violin in various ensembles, being taken for walks in the local forests by our now three dogs, curled up with a good book, trying my hand at something new (currently mantrailing), or simply relaxing with family and friends.

"Louise Carleton-Gertsch has worked as an author and presenter for Ernst Klett Sprachen for many years. The wide range of her expertise – from how to make Shakespeare fun to how to learn and successfully retain vocabulary is impressive. Her best-seller "Words in Context" has been a trustworthy handbook for a myriad of upper secondary students and teachers. She knows the ins and outs of teaching like the back of her hand and applies that knowledge in practical and informative ways. Her focus on how to use new media in a sensible manner is a refreshing and timely addition to the teaching discourse. In the numerous online seminars on diverse topics that she does for Ernst Klett Sprachen, hundreds of teachers have grown to respect her knowledge and appreciate her immensely helpful and motivating talks and workshops."Elizabeth Webster, former Managing Director, Ernst Klett Sprachen
